KolibríES

You understood all of it. A week from now you'll remember none of it.

It's called the illusion of fluency, and AI is the most efficient machine ever built for producing it. This course teaches you to use it the other way round: to create the difficulty that makes things stick, instead of to spare you it.

The first course is free and asks for no card.

What the research says

Learn more, feel they learn less

Comparing lectures with active learning, the active group learned more as measured by testing — and was convinced it had learned less. The feeling pointed the opposite way to the result.

Deslauriers et al., PNAS, 2019

Testing doesn't measure: it teaches

Retrieving something from memory consolidates it far more than rereading. In a study published in Science, retrieval beat concept mapping even when the final test was drawing a concept map.

Roediger and Karpicke (2006); Karpicke and Blunt (2011)

Spreading beats cramming

For the same total time, studying across sessions separated by days beats massing it into one. Four hours in a row yields less than four one-hour sessions.

Meta-analysis by Cepeda et al., 2006

None of these findings is ours or new: they are replicated classics of learning psychology. What is new is that you now have a tool able to apply them to your exact material, at any hour.

By the end you'll be able to

Tell studying apart from feeling like you studied

The rule in one sentence: don't let AI do the step you are supposed to be learning to do. It works in class and out of it.

Build yourself real tests

Questions on your exact material, at four different levels, plus the instruction almost nobody gives: don't give me the answers until I've answered.

Find your gaps before the exam

The Feynman technique with an interlocutor that interrupts you every time you use jargon to cover something you don't know.

Study with something that sometimes makes things up

Where to lean on it and where to always check: concepts yes, but figures, dates, quotations and references, never without verifying.

How it works

You start free

«First Steps with AI»: 19 lessons, 4 levels, no card and no time limit. If you've never used AI seriously, that's where to start.

Then, if you want to continue

«Learn Anything with AI»: 3 levels, 12 lessons, with the full method and a weekly system that holds without depending on motivation. Included in Kolibrí Pro or $10 on its own.

What this course does not do

It will not make you study less. Almost everything it teaches feels worse than rereading: retrieval is effortful, spaced review is uncomfortable, and mixed practice makes you fail more. That is exactly why it works, and why most people choose rereading. If you were looking for shortcuts to submit without learning, this isn't the course.
